The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) is an independent not-for-profit organization that works on behalf of investors to motivate companies to transparently report their greenhouse gas emissions and water consumption. In the Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index, which assesses the extent and transparency of a company's reporting, Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany scored 80 out of 100 possible points. In the Carbon Disclosure Performance Index, which rates a company's performance in reducing emissions, Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany received a B rating on a scale of A to E, thus clearly placing it among the top-ranking companies from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. |
